Sam Every is a 21 year old Drummer, Arranger and Songwriter recently graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Sam was raised in Cornwall, where he began playing drums at the age of 6. After playing and performing with Brass Bands, Wind Orchestras and chamber ensembles, Sam auditioned and gained a full scholarship to study at the Purcell School of Music at the age of 12, and went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a full scholarship with direct entry into the second year.
Sam has since began to establish himself on the scene as both a drummer, arranger, songwriter and live events producer. Sam began his career as a musical director with band “The Delegates,” whilst studying at the Purcell School. Whilst at school, his arrangements led the band to receive over 60,000 views online. The band continued on to release an original album of songs written by Sam and co-writer Gabriel Davies, and was released to critical acclaim in March 2019.
Sam began writing for Big Band at university, and formed the Sam Every Big Band during his first year at the college. He has since sold out the Pizza Express Jazz Club at every evening gig the band has done there. As an arranger he has worked with Louis Dowdeswell, Sara Colman, Luca Manning, Phoebe Katis, Simon Allen, Elliott Cole plus many more.
Sam has been playing drums and percussion since the age of 6, and has recently finished his studies with Ralph Salmins and James Maddren. Sam has performed with the likes of Dave Arch, Tommy Blaize, DeAndre, Samira Mighty, Rosie Taylor, Gareth Lockrane, Ned Moss, Gabriel plus many many more. Sam is well versed in performing in Musical theatre productions and is regularly booked for shows across the country.
